James Ramsey has officially filed to run for Shelby County Council District 3 in the May Primary Election on the Republican ballot.
Ramsey is a lifelong resident of Shelby County and graduate of Morristown High School. He has owned his Shelby County business, Ramsey Farms Ag Enterprises, for twenty years.
Ramsey currently serves as a board member for both the Shelby County Farm Bureau and the Indiana Land Improvement Contractors. He previously served on the Indiana Drainage Taskforce, appointed by Governor Holcomb.
Ramsey is the proud father of four girls, all students at Shelbyville Central Schools. He currently attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rushville.
“I have been following local and state decisions, mostly from the sidelines, for years. I have spoken at meetings and tried to help as much as I can as a resident. I feel it is now time for me to step up and make a difference in my community from the other side of the table.” Ramsey said. “I just want to do what is right for the people of Shelby County. I want to help make the decisions that will keep our county financially stable while also leaving as much money in county residents pockets as possible.”
