Looking for a fun way to spend Friday night under the stars? Potawatomi Wildlife Park is hosting a Community “Tent” Campout this Friday, July 10th, at 16998 State Road 331 in Tippecanoe, and everyone is invited.
Guests can come for just the evening or stay the whole night — no registration is required, and admission is a free-will donation. Check in at the Bessinger Pavilion between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. and get your tent set up in the designated camping areas.
The night's activities are sure to keep guests of all ages entertained from dinner through midnight:
- 6 – 7 p.m. — Hot dog and chip dinner
- 7 p.m. — BINGO with prizes
- 8 p.m. — Free time with volleyball, board and card games, and water play activities for little ones
- 9:30 p.m. — S'mores around the campfire
- 9:50 p.m. — Change into pajamas and find a cozy spot on the grass
- 10 p.m. — Movie and popcorn under the stars
- 11:30 p.m. — Stargazing in the observation field, weather permitting
- Midnight — Bedtime!
Early risers will be treated to a pancake and sausage breakfast served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. before everyone packs up and heads home.
