The Indiana Speech and Debate Association (ISSDA) 2026 Speech Section 2 Tournament concluded with another historic performance by Plymouth High School, as the team captured its 45th consecutive sectional championship.
Plymouth earned a commanding first-place finish with 243 points, well ahead of second-place Penn High School (130). Warsaw High School placed third with 36 points, followed by Concord High School with 31, and St. Thomas More Academy with 28.
Indiana is divided into seven sectionals, and students must place in the top six of their event to qualify for the state finals. Plymouth advanced an impressive slate of competitors and will next compete March 13–14 at the ISSDA State Tournament.
There were 12 Section Champions, 10 Runner-Up Finishes, 8 Interpretation Third Place qualifiers, 8 Fourth place finishers, 3 members qualified in Fifth Place, and 1 in Sixth place.
The continued success of the Plymouth Speech Team reflects the dedication, preparation, and talent of its students and coaches. With momentum from another dominant sectional performance, Plymouth looks ahead to the ISSDA State Tournament on March 13–14, where these competitors will represent their school and community on the state stage.
