The Plymouth Community School Board will meet on Tuesday, February 3, to address numerous personnel changes and consider several significant items, including donating the high school's varsity gym floor to a local artist.

The board will convene for a 5 p.m. executive session before beginning its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. in the administration conference room.

The closed session will focus on training school board members on the performance of their roles as public officials, conducted by an outside consultant.

The board will consider several personnel actions under the consent agenda:

Retirements:

  • Sandra Holderread, Plymouth High School (PHS) custodian, effective February 11
  • Grant Masson, PHS social studies teacher, effective end of school year
  • Lisa Mercer, PHS English teacher, effective May 26

Resignations:

  • Derek Baughman, PHS custodian, effective January 14
  • Leah Tanner, Riverside Intermediate School (RIS) girls basketball coach, effective January 16
  • Isaias Frias, Adult Education CNC instructor, effective January 31

Termination:

  • Donna Warren, PHS cafeteria server, effective January 28

New Appointments:

  • Alisha Kasian, Webster Elementary (WDA), substitute aide, effective January 19
  • Timothy Tremaine, Lincoln Junior High (LJH), girls basketball assistant coach, effective January 12
  • Alexis Rose, RIS, 5th grade girls basketball assistant coach, effective January 26
  • Molly Ballinger, WDA, speech language pathologist, effective February 9
  • Theresa Wojcik, WDA, lunchroom-recess monitor, effective February 2

Transfers:

The board will consider nine internal transfers involving staff moving between schools and positions, primarily affecting special education aides, preschool positions, and language facilitators at Webster, Menominee (MEN), Jefferson (JEF), and Riverside elementary schools.

Beyond personnel matters, the board will address several important items.  The board will vote on a resolution declaring the wooden varsity gym floor—set to be replaced during upcoming renovations—as surplus property. The district intends to donate the floor to Heartland Artists rather than dispose of it.  Members will consider a memorandum of understanding for affiliation and operational scope with Ward Byers as an Emergency Medical Responder.

The school board will also review facilities and maintenance updates, set school meal prices for the 2026-27 school year, adopt a resolution to void uncashed checks, accept the extracurricular activity reports, and consider the Cincy Speech and Language Services master agreement for 2025-26

The Plymouth School Board meeting is open to the public and will be streamed live. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, at the school administration building.
