Plymouth Police officers have been busy on local roads, making three separate arrests for driving offenses over the past few days.
On Wednesday, November 26th, Corporal McIntyre stopped a vehicle near Oak and Hoham Drives. The driver, 50-year-old Shane Pace of South Bend, was arrested and charged as a Habitual Traffic Violator.
The next day, Thursday, November 27th, Officer Krynock pulled over a vehicle at U.S. 30 and Plymouth Goshen Trail. The driver, Alexandria Aguilera, 29, of Fort Wayne, was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.
Finally, on Saturday morning, November 29th, Officer Thornton initiated a traffic stop on North Michigan Street at Jackson Street. Following an investigation, 42-year-old Miguel A. Mairena-Garcia of Plymouth was arrested for operating a vehicle without ever having obtained a driver's license, also with a prior offense.
All three individuals were transported to the Marshall County Jail.
The Plymouth Police Department reminds all drivers to ensure their licenses are valid and to obey all traffic laws for the safety of everyone on our roads.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
