Spring is in the air, and the Plymouth Park Department is inviting families to celebrate the season with its annual "Easter in the Park" events, scheduled for next Saturday, March 28.
The day of family-friendly festivities will kick off with a special "Breakfast with the Easter Bunny" at the Webster Recreation Center, located at 110 Webster Avenue. Running from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., the morning meal will feature pancakes, sausage, and beverages, all freshly prepared and served by members of the Plymouth Kiwanis Club. Tickets for the breakfast are affordably priced at $4 for adults and $3 for children and are available at the door.
Following breakfast, the fun will move over to Centennial Park for the highly anticipated annual Easter Egg Hunt. Organizers note that the hunt will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m.
To ensure a fair and safe experience for all participants, the egg hunt will be divided into three age categories, each assigned to a specific location within the park:
- Walking to 4-year-olds: Baseball diamond
- 5 to 7-year-olds: Front of Centennial Park, near the skate park
- 8 years and older: In and around the wooden playground
Thousands of plastic Easter eggs filled with candy will be scattered throughout the designated areas, and a lucky few will contain special, larger prizes.
Participants are reminded to bring their own baskets or bags to gather their eggs. At the conclusion of the hunt, organizers kindly ask that families empty their collected eggs and return the plastic shells to designated barrels so they can be reused for next year's event.
