Plymouth native returns home to care for local families at new Beacon Medical Group clinic

Beacon Health System is expanding access to high-quality care for the Plymouth community and the surrounding area with the opening of Beacon Medical Group Plymouth. This new location brings together four important specialties under one roof: Primary care, OB/prenatal care, heart care, and neurosurgery.

While Beacon has purchased property in Plymouth, future development plans for the site are still being evaluated, and no timeline has been finalized for construction. The new clinic is located adjacent to the property at 576 N. Oak Drive.

The care team will begin accepting new patients on October 5, 2026.

When Beacon Medical Group Plymouth opens its doors, patients may recognize a familiar face. Dr. Olivia Neese, who grew up on a family farm just outside Plymouth, is returning home to practice family medicine and provide prenatal and obstetric care.

A passion for rural health has guided Dr. Neese throughout her education and career. She attended Indiana State University on an Indiana Rural Health Scholarship and later completed the Rural Medical Education Program at Indiana University School of Medicine.

“Ever since I decided to become a physician, I had a desire to return to the community that raised me and serve as a physician,” Dr. Neese said.

As a family medicine physician, Dr. Neese provides comprehensive care for patients at every stage of life, from infants to seniors. She looks forward to building long-term relationships with families and helping them access care close to home.

“Continuity is so important in family medicine,” said Dr. Neese. “Your provider knows you, your medical history and the factors that affect your health, from your job to where you live and your daily responsibilities. Access is also critical. Not having to drive 45 minutes for an appointment, especially when managing a chronic condition, can make all the difference.”

Dr. Neese is especially excited to expand access to prenatal care for women in the Plymouth area. Expectant mothers often travel significant distances for routine appointments, and those visits can become more frequent as pregnancy progresses or if complications arise.

“Having prenatal care available in this community makes a real difference for patients and families,” Dr. Neese said. “They can spend less time on the road and more time focused on their health and their pregnancy. Another benefit is that I'm familiar with the community and understand the needs of the people who live here.”

In addition to providing prenatal care, Dr. Neese will deliver babies at Community Hospital of Bremen.

Dr. Neese and the other specialists at Beacon Medical Group Plymouth reflect Beacon Health System's continued commitment to expanding access to outstanding care across the region and ensuring patients can receive the services they need closer to home.
