A Plymouth man was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop after police were alerted that he had an active warrant.

Brody Anderson, 55, of Hawthorn Road in Plymouth, was taken into custody on January 27 at Lincolnway East and Kingston Road.

According to the Plymouth Police Department, an officer received information that Anderson was driving a vehicle and had a valid warrant for his arrest. Officers initiated a traffic stop at the intersection, where they confirmed an outstanding warrant for violation of the conditions of probation.

Anderson was arrested without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail on the felony warrant. He is being held without bond.

The Plymouth Police Department has not released additional details about the original probation violation or the circumstances that led to the warrant being issued.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
