A Plymouth man was taken into custody Thursday afternoon on an active probation violation warrant.

On Thursday, August 20th, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Corporal McIntyre with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to the Marshall County Prosecutor's Office for an active probation violation warrant. 36-year-old Erick R. Rios of Blue Ridge Trail in Plymouth was taken into custody without incident.

Rios was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $750 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
