Warm up this winter with delicious soups and community spirit at the annual Parke Vermillion Community Pregnancy Center (PVCPC) Soup Cook-Off. The event will take place on Jan. 13 at the Montezuma Community Building, located at 800 Jackson Street in Montezuma.
This family-friendly event is open to the public with admission by donation. Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a variety of soups and vote for their favorite, with donations determining the winner of the coveted Golden Ladle Award. For those with simpler tastes, hot dogs and chips will also be available.
Soup entries are still being accepted, but spaces are limited. To participate, text 765-592-1520 to reserve your spot. Contestants are reminded to bring soups in standard crockpot-sized containers, follow food safety guidelines, and ensure all food is properly prepped and cooked before arrival.
“We are so grateful for the support we’ve received this year,” said a PVCPC representative. “This event is a wonderful way to bring the community together while helping us continue our work into 2025.”
The PVCPC Soup Cook-Off is more than just a culinary competition — it’s an opportunity to support the important work of the Pregnancy Center, which provides resources and assistance to families in need throughout Parke and Vermillion counties.
