A Richland County agency is receiving money from the Illinois Department of Agriculture through the Local Food Infrastructure Program.
Over $38,000 is being awarded to Abundant Pastures. It’s part of nearly $4 million awarded for projects meant to increase storage, processing,, packaging, or aggregation to distribute locally grown products involving farms, cooperatives and nonprofits.
Half the money is being distributed this year and another $2 million in 2027.
