NWS extends Winter Storm Warning to Monday morning

The National Weather Service has extended a Winter Storm Warning until 7 a.m. EST Monday.

Heavy snow is expected. Total accumulations between 8 and 12 inches for portions of central, east central, southwest, and west central Indiana.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

A Cold Weather Advisory remains In effect from midnight Sunday to noon Tuesday with very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected across portions of central, east central, south central, southeast, and southwest Indiana.

The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
