'Tis the season for multiple Christmas events throughout Greencastle and Putnam County, and there are a host of events for families this weekend.
Christmas at the Courthouse is slated for Saturday at the Putnam County Courthouse. The event will take place from 9 a.m. until noon and will feature a visit with Santa, face painting, crafts, toys for all children and milk and donuts.
In addition, Putnam County Sheriff Jerrod Baugh will be taking part in a free breakfast for students and Santa, hosted by the Indiana Sheriffs' Youth Ranch. The event will be held at the Sheriffs' Lodge and Conference Center, 5325 N. State Road 59, from 9 a.m. to noon and is open to any student in grades kindergarten through sixth. In addition to breakfast, there will be a visit with Santa and an opportunity for children to make ornaments and write letters to Santa. For more information, call 317-460-4242.
The Greencastle Civic League will be holding a gift wrapping fundraiser Saturday at The Bodega, 16 S. Jackson St. from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Anyone wishing to participate can drop gifts off in the morning,and donations will be accepted at the event.
