Events included with admission: Haunted/Unhaunted Hayride, Trunk or Treat, Hoosier History w/ the Hoosier Witch and Dracula
The Montezuma Park Board is gearing up to host the 15th annual Pranks in the Park on Saturday, October 26 at Reeder Park in Montezuma. This family friendly event is one of the town's favorites. Each year the participation has grown, and the event hosted over 250 visitors last year. Not even the rain kept them away.
At the event, you can enjoy a hot dog & chips, hot chocolate, water, or coffee around the fire, listen to the Hoosier Witch talk about the Haunted Hoosier History, have a few treats, and then take a haunted or un-haunted hayride around the neighborhood. There will also be a Trunk or Treat held from 7:00 to 8:00, which is free for anyone in the community, without having to purchase a ticket.
There is a one-time charge of $5.00 per person for the entire evening. Montezuma Park Board president Diana Bartlow says "We've been able to make this happen with the passion of our park board members, volunteers, and some gracious donations. It's all about serving our community and we want to continue to offer events like this."
To continue this tradition for the foreseeable future, the park board is currently seeking additional donations to support the Pranks in the Park event along with identified projects to enhance our local parks. Monetary donations will be accepted and used to purchase food and drink items, paper products, fuel for the hayrides, or be directed toward a park project.
