Reports out of Indianapolis indicate that the murder trial of a southeastern Illinois truck driver has begun.
73 year old Bruce Mendenhall of Albion is charged with the 2007 murder of an Indiana woman at a truck stop in Indianapolis.
Carmen Pupura was shot in the back of the head at that location.
Police investigating the case found suspicious blood evidence on Mendenhall and also in the cab of his truck along with a blood soaked bag.
Pupura's body was late found in April of 2011 in Kentucky.
Mendenhall is already serving two life sentences and another 30 years in prison after being convicted of previous killings in Tennessee.
