A traffic stop in Terre Haute briefly became what police call a "slow-speed pursuit".
Police attempted a traffic stop for a vehicle with multiple violations. The driver, 43-year-old Erik Dilg of Terre Haute refused to stop for some time.
Dilg did eventually pull over at N 9th Street and Beech Ave. However, he refused to exit the vehicle. Officers attempted multiple times to get Dilg to exit the vehicle. They would eventually use pepper balls to get Dilg to exit the vehicle but he still refused. Officers had to have Dilg forcibly removed from the car. Dolg continued to resist and was eventually tased and placed under arrest.
Dilg faces chares of felony resisting, and battery on law enforcement, along with an active warrant for dealing Methamphetamine.
