The man who is accused of shooting and killing Detective Greg Ferency is planning to use an insanity defense in court
Shane Meehan is the one who is being accused of the murder of Detective Ferency back in July of 2021. Meehan will now be taken to a federal medical center for evaluation. The evaluation will attempt to determine the sanity of Meehan at the time of the murder. We will continue to update the story as more details become available.
