This is designed to help with facade upgrades for businesses.
Business owners will have an opportunity to learn more about the Downtown Development Grant administered by MainStreet Greencastle.
The organization will hold an informational meeting Thursday from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Kiwanis Room of the Putnam County Public Library.
According to Russell Harvey, MainStreet Greencastle Executive Director, the development grant is not part of the Lilly Grant the city and DePauw University recently received. Instead, this is designed to help with facade upgrades for businesses.
"This is a continuation of a roll out from last year. Last year, we had four applicants with three of them already completing their facade upgrades," Harvey told The Putnam County Post.
Harvey said he is "excited" about the opportunity to offer a unique opportunity to downtown businesses.
"Being able to work with businesses and business owners is a highlight for Main Street. Seeing our Downtown being transformed is a huge cherry on top," Harvey said.
