Two Lawrence County men were arrested and jailed over the past weekend. Sunday, Sumner Police charged 39 year old Allen Byers of Sumner with Driving While License Suspended and Theft Under $300. He was booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held there pending a detention hearing. Saturday, the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department picked up 26 year old Raymond Godfrey of Lawrenceville for Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm. He was also booked into the Lawrence County Jail and was being held pending a detention hearing.
