A standoff between an individual and the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office ended peacefully and with one person in custody Wednesday.
According to Sheriff Jerrod Baugh, deputies responded to a Limedale area home for a family involved domestic disturbance. Baugh told The Putnam County Post and Giant fm News there was a report of a firearm discharged inside the house by the lone suspect.
“The subject was arrested after speaking with our department’s negotiator. There were no injuries and no danger to the public,” Baugh said, adding his department was in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the residence Wednesday evening.
