LCMH receives recognition from American Heart Association program

Lawrence County Memorial Hospital (LCMH) in Lawrenceville, Illinois has achieved major recognition for its commitment to stroke care.

The American Heart Association (AHA) Get with the Guidelines Rural Accelerator Program says that the medical facility has been awarded Silver Recognition. It represents the highest level of achievement available to hospitals during their first 12 months in the program. LCMH has successfully implemented the latest treatment guidelines to improve patient outcomes and provide timely, effective stroke care for the Lawrence County and surrounding community.

Stroke is a medical emergency in which every second and minute matter. Rapid diagnosis and treatment can significantly improve the outcomes for patients experiencing a stroke.
