Late-night disturbance at Plymouth motel leads to arrest

A late-night disturbance at a local motel resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old man on Monday, March 16.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., officers from the Plymouth Police Department were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel on Oak Drive after receiving a call from management requesting that a guest be removed from the premises for causing a disturbance.

Upon arriving at the scene, Officer Allen approached the room in question. According to police reports, the guest, identified as 34-year-old Brian Shepherd, of North Judson, could be heard yelling from several rooms away.

As Officer Allen attempted to speak with Shepherd, the suspect allegedly continued to yell and shout expletives. Despite receiving multiple warnings from the officer to lower his voice and stop disturbing other motel guests, Shepherd reportedly disregarded the commands and continued his disruptive behavior.

Consequently, Shepherd was taken into custody at the scene. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on preliminary charges of intimidation and disorderly conduct.

Shepherd is currently being held on a $500 cash bond.
