The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane closures and traffic pattern shifts that will impact U.S. 231 through Crawfordsville.
Beginning on or after Monday, May 5, traffic will shift from the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes for the first phase of this project. This will take place between I-74 and Market Street. Once work in the southbound lanes is complete, traffic will then be shifted into the northbound lanes at a later date in this same location. The project will conclude with single-lane closures later this year with traffic being brought back to its original configuration.
The purpose of this project is to install pipes and other structures, as well as hot mix asphalt patching, and other resurfacing work. The entire project is anticipated to last until October but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
