On Sunday, March 24th at 3:16 in the morning, Plymouth Police and EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle unknown injury accident on U.S. 30 west of North Oak Drive.
Arriving at the scene, Plymouth Police located a Ford Fusion in the ditch on the South side of U.S. 30. During the investigation, it was discovered that the driver, Kole McIntire, 20 of Knox was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Further investigation revealed that Kole McIntire was over twice the legal limit.
McIntire was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15% or greater, illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage, and minor in possession of alcohol.
Kole McIntire was booked into the County Jail at 4:30 a.m. and given a cash bond of $1,500. He was able to bond out at 1 p.m.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
