The Knox County (Ind.) Commissioners Tuesday voted to extend the 10-ton weight limit for county roads for another week.
The 10-ton limit was imposed earlier to help prevent wear and tear on county-maintained roads from winter freezing and thawing. Now. the extension comes as the region faces several days of anticipated heavy rainfall.
The decision is not permanent and will be re-evaluated after a 7-day period next week.
