The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced this week that over $155 million dollars in federal transportation funding is being awarded to 51 counties, cities and towns in rural parts of the Hoosier state for investment in local road, bridge and sidewalk improvements. Knox County is to be the recipient of just over $6.2 million for a planned bridge project on Mays Road. INDOT will also assist financially with design and engineering work and the acquisition of right of ways for the projects.
