Kids' Holiday Classes & Workshops at Heartland Art Center

The Heartland Art Center in downtown Plymouth will offer several kids’ holiday classes and workshops this week and next. 

Kids can create wonderful gifts for their favorite people, wrap them, and have them ready to go under the tree this Saturday. 

The Little Elves Workshop is for students ages 5 to 9. During this one-hour class, which begins at 3 p.m., Kristen O’Dell will instruct the children on making a colorful Christmas decoration. The Cost is $20, and all supplies are provided.    

Also, this Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Santa’s Helpers Workshop will allow students aged ten and up to make and wrap gifts for loved ones. O’Dell will teach several holiday craft decorations. This workshop costs $40, and the Heartland Art Center supplies all materials. 

On Friday, December 27^th, kids ages 9 to 13 can participate in the 3D Holiday Candles craft.  Candles are an essential part of any celebration.  Students will learn the ten tips of drawing while learning to draw and shade 3D boxes, cylinders, and spheres and create a strong composition using pencil, pastels, and paper cutting.  Students will also have fun being creative as they decorate the candles.  The craft class is from 10:30 a.m. to noon with instructor Gloria Seitz, cost is $20. 

“Christmas Break Out” is Saturday, December 28^th, at the Heartland Art Center in downtown Plymouth from 10 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This is an open studio event for kids aged 6 and up. The cost is $40.
