The Plymouth Fire Department responded to 512 Coventry Court for a structure fire on Monday.
As firefighters arrived on the scene just after 2:30 p.m., they found heavy smoke and fire coming from the north residence, a small, single-story, duplex residence on the city’s west side.
Firefighters entered the structure and advanced a hose line quickly, knocking down the fire. At the same time, another crew was deployed to the rear of the home and assisted in putting the fire out.
There was someone home at the time of the fire and was able to get out of the home safely.
Assistant Fire Chief Chuy Garcia said there was extensive fire, smoke, and heat damage to the north residence. The south residence also sustained some smoke damage.
No injuries were reported, and the fire is under investigation.
Plymouth Fire dispatched Plymouth 17, Medic 2, Engine 82, Engine 150, and Truck 1 to the scene.
