Year-to-date 2024 home sale prices increased 4.4 percent to an average sale price of $277,005.
Compared to September 2023, the average home sale price for the 16-county central Indiana region increased 20 percent to $347,705. Year-to-date 2024 home sale prices increased 1.9 percent.
In September 2024, 2,757 central Indiana homes were purchased, up 5.8 percent from the 2,605 sold in September 2023. Central Indiana year-to-date home sale prices increased 1.9 percent overall.
Homes sold in 34 days on average, spending 12 days, or 54.5 percent, longer on the market than September 2023. Boone County homes sold 52.1 percent faster than this time last year, the greatest increase in central Indiana.
Central Indiana experienced a 16.6 percent increase in overall available home inventory in September 2024, compared to September 2023, with 767 more homes available for sale.
