On February 5, Putnam County historian Larry Tippin will be speaking at Putnam County Museum on the history of Cloverdale.
“Larry’s research into the history of Cloverdale reveals some fascinating stories about early Cloverdale residents,” says museum director Rachel Barr. “There is an entire chapter dedicated to Cloverdale in his newly published history book, and it is a real page-turner.”
This talk is one of a series given by Larry on the towns and settlements across Putnam County. Previous talks focused on the history of Roachdale, early education in Putnam County, and more. These talks take place on the first Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.
The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 North Jackson Street, just north of downtown Greencastle. Opening hours are Monday-Friday 10-4 and Saturday 12-4.
Admission to the museum is free.
