The Greater Wabash Regional Planning Commission (GWRPC) has announced a series of community kick off sessions this month. The meetings will help toward the completion of the FEMA five county mitigation plan. That plan identifies potential environmental hazards and works on ways to address those problem areas. Lawrence along with Crawford, Wabash, Wayne and Edwards Counties are all in the GWRPC. There will be a Lawrence-Crawford County meeting coming up on Tuesday January 23rd at the Civic Center in Robinson at 1 p.m. A meeting for Wabash, Wayne and Edwards Counties will also occur on the 23rd at 9 a.m. at the Farm Bureau office in Albion.
