The Fulton County Community Foundation (FCCF) has awarded a $2,500 grant to Grace MomCo, a local program dedicated to supporting and connecting mothers of young children.

MomCo, short for The Mom Community, provides a welcoming, faith-based environment where mothers can build friendships, gain parenting support, and grow both personally and as caregivers. Through regular gatherings, the program offers educational resources, guest speakers, creative activities, and opportunities for service and leadership. Its mission centers on reducing isolation, strengthening families, and promoting emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.

This grant will allow Grace MomCo to expand and enhance its programming in meaningful ways. According to coordinator Amanda Hazlett, the funding will help sustain and grow childcare offerings during meetings while also introducing the KidsCo curriculum, creating a more enriching experience for children.

“We will be able to continue childcare during meetings, and it is more than just childcare now,” Hazlett shared. “We have been incorporating KidsCo curriculum and hope to expand that next year, so our children also gain meaningful relationships during these meetings.”

In addition to supporting children, the grant will help MomCo leaders plan more opportunities for mothers and families, including events, speakers, creative activities, and family outings. These efforts aim to keep participation accessible by maintaining free or low-cost options for members.

MomCo plays an important role in the community by offering mothers a place to feel seen, supported, and encouraged. Many mothers of young children experience loneliness and stress. By creating space for connection and shared experience, MomCo helps build stronger families and healthier communities. When caregivers are supported and equipped with resources, children benefit from more stable and nurturing home environments.

Community members interested in joining Grace MomCo can connect through Facebook at Grace MomCo or visit themom.co/join and use code E8RT.

This grant was made possible through the generosity of donors who give to community funds at the Fulton County Community Foundation. Community funds allow flexible support for local needs, helping programs like Grace MomCo continue to serve and strengthen families.
