Fulton County Community Foundation awards Township Grants to support local projects

The Fulton County Community Foundation (FCCF) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2026 Township Grants, supporting projects that directly benefit communities across Fulton County.

This year’s grants were awarded to organizations serving multiple townships, reflecting FCCF’s recent expansion of township-based grantmaking to include all areas of Fulton County. These grants are designed to support local ideas, strengthen community resources, and enhance quality of place at the township level.

The following organizations received funding:

• Henry Township – Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Akron Delivery Hub Warehouse Supplies
• Liberty Township – Outlet Youth Center: Caston Bra Day
• Liberty Township – Fulton County Public Library (Fulton Branch): Aquarium
• Newcastle Township – United We Stand Ministries of Akron: Food Pantry Shelving and Equipment for New Addition
• Richland Township – Girls on the Run Michiana: Riddle Elementary Program
• Richland Township – Fulton County Historical Society: Museum Copier Replacement
• Rochester Township – City of Rochester Park & Recreation: Jaycee Park Accessibility and Safety Improvements Project
• Union Township – The HeARTery: Kitchenette
• Union Township – Kewanna-Union Township Public Library: Youth Summer Reading Books
• Wayne Township – Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department: Brush Truck Upgrade

“The Township Grant awarded to United We Stand Ministries of Akron will support our local food pantry, which serves both Henry and Newcastle Townships,” said Bonnie Dunbar of United We Stand Ministries. “As the number of neighbors visiting our food pantry continues to grow, we must grow to meet that need.”

“The Township Grant will strengthen the Rochester Park and Recreation Department’s ability to serve the residents of Rochester Township by supporting important improvements to Jaycee Park,” shared the Rochester Park Board. “With this support, we are able to enhance accessibility, safety, and overall park amenities for the community.”

Township grants are made possible through FCCF’s township funds, which allow residents to give back directly to the communities they call home. Donations to these funds stay within the township and support future projects and programs that address local needs.
