Florida driver arrested by county police for operating while suspended, OWI with a prior

A blue pickup truck driver, 49-year-old Michael T. Allison of Florida, was observed by a Marshall County Deputy crossing the center line, weaving back, and crossing on to the shoulder on the other side of the road Friday at about 8:15 p.m.     

Deputy Johnson was patrolling in the area of State Road 17 and Glenn Overmyer when he observed the pickup truck weaving all over the roadway.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as 49-year-old Michael Allison, who had a booking address in Citra, Fla.

During the traffic stop the deputy determined that Allison was driving a vehicle with a suspended license along with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Michael Allison was booked into the Marshall County Jail for OWI with a prior conviction, operating with a BAC of .15% or more, and driving while suspended with a previous suspension within 10 years. He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings, entitled to be represented by counsel, and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
