The National Weather Service (NWS) reports it has continued the Flood Warning issued for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville through the weekend.
The river was measured early Wednesday at 30.7 feet and continuing to rise. It is just above its 30-foot flood stage. Some minor flooding is occurring near the river, and more is forecast before the crest at around 32 feet on Sunday. At 33 feet, Kelly's Lake Lane (CR 1160N) is inundated with floodwaters.
After cresting Sunday, the Embarras will begin a slow and steady fall before falling below flood stage early next week.
