There is good news regarding the Embarras River at Lawrenceville.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has lifted the Flood Warning for the river.
The river on Tuesday April 15 was measured at 28.02 feet and falling.
The river fell below it's 30 foot flood stage Monday April 14th and is forecast to continue a steady fall.
The river has been above flood for a number of days due to extensive rain in the upper Embarras River Basin and also runoff from local streams and creeks have contributed to the high level.
