A 34-year-old Plymouth man in the middle of Michigan Street near Louisa Street was arrested early Friday morning.
Plymouth Police Officers located the male subject in the middle of Michigan Street at 3:45 A.M. on October 11th. While officers were approaching the subject, he was observed being nearly struck by oncoming traffic.
During a brief investigation, Ely Vasquez-Reyes of the 400 block of Williams Street was found to be highly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was lodged for Public Intoxication and held on a $250 cash bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
