Fillmore and Greencastle fire crews responded to a call Monday afternoon.
Just before 1 p.m., GFD B-shift crews were called to assist Fillmore Fire with a reported structure fire. Crews arrived on scene of a commercial building with nothing showing. Upon investigation, light smoke was found inside the building. Crews located an electrical issue in the attic area that was smoldering, but no active fire. Insulation was removed from the attic area, the building was ventilated and then crews returned to service.
Assisting on scene was Fillmore Fire, Floyd Fire, Putnam County EMS, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Coatsville Chief 1602, and Putnam County Board of Health.
