The Heartland Artists Center is gearing up for a vibrant summer celebration and is currently seeking applicants for the 12th Annual "ARTS in the Street" Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, July 25, the beloved outdoor festival will once again transform historic downtown Plymouth into a bustling hub of creativity.

Running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the free public event will take place on Michigan Street between LaPorte and Adams Streets. Attendees can look forward to a fantastic day celebrating the arts, featuring artist and artisan booths, live music and dance performances, art-making activities for all ages, a chalk art contest, a scavenger hunt, food trucks, and a beer and wine tent.

Organizers are currently accepting booth applications for artists, food vendors, nonprofits, volunteers, and sponsors. Prospective vendors are encouraged to act quickly to secure their spots at a discounted rate. Early-bird booth fees are currently set at $55, but will increase to $80 after May 1st.

The festival welcomes a wide range of artistic media, including but not limited to watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, sculpture, jewelry, photography, mixed media, textiles, ceramics, woodworking, fabric and clothing, soaps, candles, and similar handmade work.

To ensure a high-quality, authentic, and balanced marketplace, the Festival Committee has established strict originality guidelines. All showcased work must be the original concept and creation of the artist present in the booth. The use of commercial, trademarked, licensed, derivative, royalty-free, or “fair use” images or designs is strictly prohibited.

Participating artists will be provided a 12-foot by 12-foot booth space, with the option for exhibitors to purchase a double space if needed.

The festival is hosted and produced by Heartland Artists, Inc., a local 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The annual event aligns perfectly with the organization's mission to welcome those interested in the arts, promote multi-media visual art forms, encourage mutual support among local artists, and build a strong artistic link within the community. The organization is also dedicated to honoring all individuals with regard to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility.
