The Julius Joseph Fountain on the Public Square will flow green Saturday at 4 p.m. in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.
The Third Annual Turning of the Fountain Green celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and is the precursor to the Shelby Shamrock Bar Crawl that includes downtown Shelbyville establishments Capone’s Downtown Speakeasy, Cadillac Jack’s and the newly opened Alley Tap.
For those 21-and-older, participants can get a lanyard and punch card and visit all three venues. Collect stamps at each location then submit your card for the opportunity to win a basket full of gift cards on St. Patrick’s Day (Monday).
There are several dining options as well in the downtown area including Blue Agave, Boba Café, Café Sway, Cagney’s Pizza King, Greek’s Pizzeria and Spegal’s Prime Cuts.
The fountain will stay green through St. Patrick’s Day.
