A Culver man faces operating while intoxicated and drug-related charges following a traffic stop late Friday night in downtown Plymouth.
Officer Ayala with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop around 11:25 p.m. on Friday, December 19, in the area of North Michigan Street and West Washington Street. The vehicle was pulled over for a lane violation and obstructing traffic.
During the stop, Officer Ayala began a DUI investigation involving the driver, Bryan Vazquez, 39, of Culver.
Vazquez was subsequently transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he was booked on preliminary charges of:
- Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated—controlled substance
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of paraphernalia
Bond was set at $1,500, and Vazquez is scheduled to appear in Marshall County Superior Court II later this month.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Charges mentioned are allegations, and defendants have the right to a trial.
