Marshall County Police investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 6700 block of Michigan Road on Friday just before 3 p.m. after the County’s Central Dispatch Center received several calls.
Investigating Officer Haygood learned that a northbound 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Wayne Upchurch Jr., 36, of Plymouth, crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2015 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Brianne Rhoads, 42, of Plymouth. The collision sent both cars off the roadway with debris across Michigan Road.
One of the drivers was transported to the Hospital by EMS. Reichert-Knepp removed both vehicles and cleared the roadway.
LaPaz Fire and EMS assisted the Marshall County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
