Today, Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) signed Vice President JD Vance’s Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud, committing to protect vulnerable Americans, stop fraudulent payments, and hold criminals accountable for stealing taxpayer dollars.
“Hoosiers work too hard for their money to watch it get stolen,” said Rep. Yakym. “That’s why I’ve led the fight against fraud in Congress — so Hoosier families keep more money in their pockets. I’m proud to stand with Vice President Vance to send a clear message: if you steal from Hoosiers, we’re coming after you.”
The Pledge to Protect Americans from Fraud commits signers to:
-
Protect seniors and vulnerable Americans from fraudsters.
-
Keep illegal aliens off taxpayer-funded benefit programs.
-
Stop fraudsters from using public funds to pay for luxuries.
-
Stop fraudulent payments before they go out the door.
-
Bring fraudsters to justice through the courts.
-
Arrest illegal aliens found guilty of fraud.
