The Marshall County Commissioners will consider four ordinances creating 2-year moratoriums on farm-scale solar farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Data Centers, and Carbon Capture operations during their meeting Monday morning.
The agenda also includes the County Highway report, a quarterly update from the County Museum, and Jeff Jones with a discussion on Nutmeg Meadows. Billy Schoff, head of Building and Grounds will present a Fire Protection contract while Superior Court III Judge Mat Sarber will present the Court Reform Grant agreement.
Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel will present the Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification while Sandy Dunfee from the Health Department will request to apply for a Narcan Grant along with seeking approvals for the Bikes for Kids agreement, Steered Straight agreement, Katie VanTornhout agreement, and the Thomas Kinnaird agreement.
The commissioners will also hear the County Attorney and Auditor’s reports, and public comments, and Commissioner Klotz will give truck estimates.
The Commissioner’s meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. and is open to the public and streamed live on the county’s YouTube channel.
