The Christy Fire Protection District has announced the acquisition of an addition to its emergency vehicle fleet.
They are now the owners of a new light rescue truck purchased from the Robinson Fire Protection District in neighboring Crawford County. Once in service, the new vehicle will be fully licensed as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) unit and equipped with rescue tools for use in such things as vehicle crash extrications. It will be housed at Station #2 in Chauncey.
The Christy Fire Protection District has two stations located in both Sumner and Chauncey and provides fire, rescue and first responder services to over 168 square miles in Lawrence, Richland and Richland counties.
