Putnam County Museum is pleased to announce its upcoming fall show, ‘Ideas Wrought in Form: Creations of Wood and Metal.’
“It is our goal to present a show of local craft that includes the use of wood, metal, or both,” says artist and museum Board Member, Jerry Bates. “Hopefully this will attract a larger group of makers as well as an audience that appreciates these timeless materials.”
“Submissions are open to all artists who use metal and/or wood prominently in their creations,’ explains Executive Director Rachel Lewis. “We’re hoping to attract a wide variety of pieces. Wood and metal are materials that have an intrinsic functionality to them, but that does not stifle their capacity for beauty.”
All submissions will be considered for the show, which will be juried internally. There is a small entrance fee and a limit of three submissions per person. Submissions close on September 1, 2025. For more information on show guidelines, please contact the museum at (765) 653-8419 or email the director at rlewis@putnamcountymuseum.org.
The Putnam County Museum is located at 1105 North Jackson Street, just north of downtown Greencastle. Opening hours are Monday-Friday 10-4 and Saturday 12-4. Admission to the museum is free.
