A California man was arrested early Tuesday morning as a disqualified individual operating a commercial motor vehicle.
At approximately 2:10 a.m., Officer Thornton with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a truck hauling vehicles because it was traveling at 70 MPH, exceeding the posted speed limit of 50 MPH.
During the traffic stop, it was determined that the truck had a combined weight of more than 45 thousand pounds and was a business hauler. The 49-year-old driver, Serhii Chryrva was also found not to have a Commercial Driver’s License when required. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle when a CDL is required as a C misdemeanor and bonded out 26 minutes later.

They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
