The Bridgeport City Council held a public hearing this week. The meeting to discuss the application process for a grant to replace the water lines on the west side of Bridgeport which would include new fire hydrants and new water valves. The application is due early next month.
The council also heard a report on new trees planted at Lanterman Park. 27 new trees including maple trees, oak trees and flowering trees were planted on the inside loop of the park near the pavilion, the baseball field and the playground equipment.
