The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a road closure that will impact the State Road 42 bridges over I-70 in Clay County.
Beginning on or after Monday, Feb. 2, crews will close both bridges so they can be replaced. The bridges are located approximately four miles west of Brazil. Work is anticipated to last until September but is weather-dependent and subject to change.
The official detour around the closure is S.R. 46 to I-70 to S.R. 59. INDOT encourages drivers to seek an alternate route and to use caution in and around work zones.
