On September 30, the Indiana State Police Bremen Post conducted a targeted wolfpack patrol in a high-crime area of South Bend. Highlights from this enforcement include:
18 traffic stops with 12 warnings and 18 citations issued
2 OWI criminal arrests
4 drug possession cases
5 driving offenses, including Driving While Suspended, Operator Never Licensed, and Reckless Driving
2 warrant arrests
1 foot pursuit of an intoxicated driver and wanted person
During the foot pursuit, the suspect, Ledarreus Dean, 27, of South Bend, was located and taken into custody. Dean was transported to Memorial Hospital for jail clearance and a blood draw. After both were completed, he was transported to the St. Joseph County Jail without incident.
